Frequently Asked Questions
What will my first visit look like?
At your first visit, we will perform a comprehensive evaluation to get to the root cause of your concerns. You and your PT will work together to establish a plan of care that suits your needs. All evaluations are scheduled for an hour. Plan to wear comfortable clothing and come with any questions/concerns you may have.
What does a pelvic floor internal examination look like?
An internal examination is often an integral portion of pelvic floor physical therapy examination and treatment. All treatment will take place in a private setting and will only be performed after a comprehensive conversation and with consent. If you are not comfortable with an internal examination that is okay and we will discuss other possible options!
Do you accept insurance?
Motion Evolved Physical Therapy is an out-of-network clinic. All sessions are paid for at time of service. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. You will be provided with a superbill to self-submit to insurance. All services are eligible for reimbursement under out-of-network benefits, but Motion Evolved does not guarantee reimbursement.
**Update: Motion Evolved PT is currently working on a non-participating provider agreement with both Medicare and Tricare— this will allow those with these insurances to be seen in PT. Payment will be collected at time of service and Motion Evolved PT will submit to insurance on your behalf. Medicare/Tricare will reimburse you directly for up to 80% of your bill
Do I need a referral?
Maryland is a direct-access state. This means you do not require a referral from your doctor to be seen by a physical therapist.
